President Trump held a press conference in the White House briefing room on Friday after the Supreme Court struck down his tariffs.
In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court ruled that President Trump exceeded his authority by imposing tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act IEEPA.
Chief Justices Roberts, Amy Coney Barrett and Neil Gorsuch sided with the three liberal justices.
President Trump did not hold back during his presser. He scorched the justices for ruling against him.
Trump accused the justices of being swayed by foreign interests.
The President also unleashed on the conservative justices who joined the liberals and said they are an embarrassment to their families.
A reporter asked President Trump if the Supreme Court Justices who ruled against his tariffs are still invited to his State of the Union Address.
President Trump will deliver his State of the Union Address on Tuesday, February 24.
Trump made reporters laugh after he was asked if the justices were still invited.
“The Supreme Court Justices who ruled against the policy, striking it down… are they still invited to you State of the Union” And will you speak with them?” a reporter asked President Trump.
“Yeah, they are invited,” Trump said. “Barely… barely. Three are happily invited! No, no, they’re barely invited!
“Honestly, I couldn’t care less if they come,” Trump said.
