Elon Musk just dropped a MOAB on Democrat megadonor and LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman.
In an explosive clash, the two tech billionaires and former “PayPal Mafia” colleagues are trading vicious blows over their past ties to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
The explosive back-and-forth on X comes as newly released Department of Justice files tied to Epstein’s sprawling network are once again placing powerful elites under the microscope, and Musk is making it clear he believes Hoffman has serious questions to answer.
The feud escalated after Hoffman attempted to deflect scrutiny by posting a 2012 email allegedly showing Musk asking Epstein which “day/night will be the wildest party on your island.”

Musk fired back almost immediately:
“The big difference between you and me, Reid, is that you went and I did not.”
Referring to Epstein’s now-infamous private island, Musk added:
“In fact, you went multiple times. First time was maybe a mistake, but not the second time you went.”

Musk wrote on X, stating, “This is how I knew so long ago that Reid Hoffman went to Epstein’s island. Epstein used Reid being there to try to get me to go, not realizing that it would have the opposite effect.”

Hoffman responded, “Give us a break: If you cared about the victims as you say, you’d stop making false accusations to cover your ass and start using your $220m of influence with President Trump to get justice for the victims. Instead, you’re focused on comparing my visit fundraising for MIT to your begging to go to his island (which happened TWO YEARS before the screenshot you shared), and helicoptering over to Epstein looking for the “wildest party.” You lied about this to everyone for over a decade, and now your excuse (it’s disgusting, by the way) is that you could get young girls without Epstein?”

Musk went on to state that Epstein had repeatedly attempted to lure him to the island, but that he ultimately declined and severed contact altogether.

According to records circulating online, Hoffman exchanged more than 1,700 emails with Epstein. Yet in interviews, Hoffman has repeatedly insisted he only had a “handful of interactions.”
The emails tell a far different story.
Among the most damning revelations:
Hoffman reportedly visited Epstein’s private island in November 2014.
Stayed at Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse.
Traveled to Epstein’s New Mexico ranch.
Sent Epstein Christmas gifts weeks after Virginia Giuffre’s trafficking allegations went public.
Purchased “ice cream… for the girls.”
Sent a metal sculpture he described as having “an appropriate nature to the island.”
Offered assistance managing Epstein’s public relations crisis: “Been giving a bit of thought to how I can help with the recent press fu.”
Continued meeting with Epstein through 2018.
Allegedly left his passport at Epstein’s residence in 2016.
Yet Hoffman claims he was merely fundraising for MIT Media Lab and that any association was strictly “academic.”
In one sickening exchange, Hoffman discussed buying “ice cream… for the girls” and told Epstein how much he “missed” him.
Musk zeroed in on the most chilling detail: “What did you mean by ‘ice cream for the girls?’ @reidhoffman”

The SpaceX and Tesla CEO later escalated:
“Hoffman should be investigated.”
Hoffman fired back by claiming the FBI had previously cleared him of wrongdoing in connection with Epstein — a claim Musk flatly rejected:
“Liar, you are guilty of dark deeds and haven’t been cleared of anything. You stayed at Epstein’s island, Epstein’s ranch in New Mexico and Epstein’s house in New York. You offered to help him with PR. You gave him gifts … Maybe if it was only one stay over, you could claim it was a mistake. Maybe. But there is NO possible explanation for the second time, let alone the third time. As the record shows, you were an eager repeat customer.”
As of this writing, no official public clearance statement from the FBI has surfaced confirming Hoffman’s claim.
Hoffman’s assertion reportedly stems from a 2025 internal FBI email listing him as a “no hit” within certain Epstein-related investigative files. However, the 2026 DOJ document releases appear to outline alleged continued interactions between Hoffman and Epstein long after public allegations were known.
