A bit of a feud has erupted between President Trump and one of the Hollywood’s most infamous actors as 2026 kicks off. And it is unfolding exactly as one would expect.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Hollywood elitist and longtime Democrat activist George Clooney has officially joined the growing list of wealthy, left-wing celebrities who preach “American values” while quietly distancing themselves from the United States.
Clooney, along with his wife, Amal Alamuddin Clooney, and their two children, has reportedly obtained French citizenship through a naturalization decree.
The couple’s 8-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander, were included in the process.
Clooney previously revealed that he and Amal decided to raise their children in France partially due to the country’s privacy laws.
On New Years Eve, Trump decided to savagely roast Clooney and his wife Amal for becoming citizens of France.
The President slammed Clooney for moving to France considering the country’s massive Islamist crime problem and for having poor political instincts. He also mocked the actor’s “mediocre” movies.
“Good News! George and Amal Clooney, two of the worst political prognosticators of all time, have officially become citizens of France which is, sadly, in the midst of a major crime problem because of their absolutely horrendous handling of immigration, much like we had under Sleepy Joe Biden,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“Remember when Clooney, after the now infamous debate, dumped Joe during a fundraiser, only to go onto the side of another stellar candidate, Jamala(K!), who is now fighting it out with the worst governor in the Country, including Tim Waltz, Gavin Newscum, for who is going to lead the Democrats to their future defeat,” he added.
“Clooney got more publicity for politics than he did for his very few, and totally mediocre, movies. He wasn’t a movie star at all, he was just an average guy who complained, constantly, about common sense in politics.”

On Thursday, Clooney responded with a puzzling statement, considering he abandoned America and now calls France home.
“I totally agree with the current president,” Clooney said in a statement obtained by the Hollywood Reporter. “We have to make America great again.”
“We’ll start in November.”
Should Clooney not be more worried about the 2027 French Presidential Election? This is his new country, after all.
