The Frogleg Christmas Show–Ho Ho & New Year’s Jamboree.
Frogleg is short for Intellectual Froglegs —and if you’ve never heard of Intellectual Froglegs, allow me to introduce you to my friend Joe Dan Gorman and his uniquely fun show. And don’t let the quirky name fool you—I promise it’s not a weird cooking show. It can be weird—but it’s not a cooking show, ha ha ha.
Intellectual Froglegs is in its own lane— a High-energy, High-quality variety show, jam-packed with low-brow humor, thoughtful analysis, and a solid foundation in the Christian faith and MAGA values. AND there are extremely creative segments from the Bible to Archie Bunker, all set to the absolute best music on planet Earth—and it makes every episode an absolute blast.
Now in its 14th year, Intellectual Froglegs is one of the longest-running Christian-conservative shows in the Digital Sphere, having launched alongside the Tea Party movement…Froglegs has been censored, blocked, banned, and/or suppressed by every major platform: YouTube, Facebook, Twitter/X, Vimeo, Daily Motion, and more. PLUS, just months ago, Froglegs was even debanked by Stripe. Yet, the show has managed to survive with help from independent platforms like here, at the Gateway Pundit, its own site, and Rumble, sustained by dedicated viewers.
The man behind Intellectual Froglegs is the Renaissance hillbilly himself— the charming Joe Dan Gorman, who can tell the worst joke ever, and you still laugh. Joe Dan tells the story of growing up in the hotel business, where he learned a unique skill… almost like a Jedi mind trick… he learned to “Tell people to kiss his ass and then they would thank him” lol!
Following the 2008 real estate crash, this former broker and VP of a Real estate investment firm in southern Arizona suddenly found himself homeless, having lost everything.
In 2011—still homeless—he found God and quit smoking.
In 2012, he launched the first Intellectual Froglegs.
In 2019, he put on the first live version of Intellectual Froglegs at Trump Doral in the Donald J. Trump Ballroom in Miami.
Intellectual Froglegs is not a daily or weekly show — new episodes come out every few weeks. Following the stolen election in November 2020 and throughout the COVID nightmare, Intellectual Frogleg became a source of faith-based hope–that we would, in fact, take back our America. And thank God, Joe Dan was right. MAGA DID WIN… now intellectual Frogleg returns to its roots. Bad jokes, good rock ‘n’ roll, and hat-tips to Jesus!!
Some notable cameos over the years have included Katie Hopkins, Jim & Joe Hoft, Bo Snerdley, Dilley, Shawn Farash, Dr. Naomi Wolf, Scott Presler, Pastor Mark Burns, Victoria Jackson, and even WKRP’s Loni Anderson.
Joe Dan’s Southern roots are immediately exposed the second he opens his mouth. Born in Dallas, Texas, he grew up in Hazard, Kentucky, in the heart of the Appalachian coal fields.
Joe Dan will also eagerly share his “come to Jesus moment” testimony— which occurred while he was homeless, living in an unfinished basement in Kansas City—and he probably points to getting his son back as a highlight. Joe Dan’s son was taken from him for 10 years and lived 2000 miles away. Today, Joe Dan and his son are closer than ever… they live in the same town, and Joe Dan’s enjoying his two new grandsons, ages 3 and 6 months.

This latest Christmas special comes after a challenging year, including a forced relocation of his home/studio back in May, and Joe Dan’s open-heart surgery in September, but he’s back— with gratitude, holiday cheer, and optimism for 2026, which he thinks may actually be “the Year of the Frog.”
Joe Dan has declined two corporate affiliations over recent years— but he’s not opposed to working with talented and aggressive-minded people— but he will not relinquish creative control and he certainly will not allow others to dictate his content.
