Trump-Endorsed Bruce Blakeman
President Trump has thrown his Complete and Total Endorsement behind Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman for New York Governor in 2026.
Blakeman will likely face current Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul in the November general election after Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) dropped out of the race on Friday, clearing the path for Blakeman to become the GOP Nominee.
“While we would have overwhelmingly won this primary, it is not an effective use of our time or your generous resources to spend the first half of next year in an unnecessary and protracted Republican primary, especially in a challenging state like New York,” Stefanik said announcing her departure from the race and her retirement from the House of Representatives. “while many know me as Congresswoman, my most important title is Mom… As a mother, I will feel profound regret if I don’t further focus on my young son’s safety, growth, and happiness – particularly at his tender age.”

This also comes as RINO Rep. Mike Lawler (NY), who endorsed Stefanik for Governor before she dropped out, has “left the door open to taking another look at the race,” the New York Post reports. Lawler sided with Democrats at least twice last week, signing onto a discharge petition to force a vote on extending Obamacare subsidies and voting against the Protect Children’s Innocence Act, which will make it a crime for genital mutilation and chemical castration to be executed on minors. Lawler also co-sponsored a bill to grant amnesty through a so-called work program to millions of illegals earlier this year.
The quick endorsement of Blakeman could serve to keep Lawler out of the race.
Trump described Blakeman as “highly respected and very popular,” as well as “MAGA all the way.”

Blakeman responded on X, expressing gratitude for the President’s support.
