Repeat criminal and friend of Jasmine Crockett, Soweto Hoilett
Court Documents obtained by The Daily Caller show that Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), early in her legal career, had some bizarre legal issues after renting a car with a felon who was convicted of robbery and drug charges, as well as arrested and charged several other times.
The apparent friend of Crockett, Soweto Hoilett of Texas, was accused of robbing three people in 1998 and pleaded guilty to two of the robberies, one being first-degree felony robbery, in February and September, according to court documents uncovered by the Daily Caller.
After serving five years behind bars, Hoilett was slapped with a drug possession charge in June 2005, which he pled guilty to in exchange for dropping an obstructing an officer charge, and was only sentenced to probation.
According to a lawsuit from Budget Rent a Car, Crockett rented a car with Hoilett on August 9. The rental company later sued her for refusing to pay after Hoilett, an unauthorized driver, crashed the car and totaled it.
One month after the pair rented the car, Hoilett was arrested and charged in September 2006 for an August 27, 2006, incident, where he ultimately pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and served 120 days in jail.
Per the Daily Caller:
Crockett and Texas resident Soweto Hoilett rented the vehicle from Budget Rent A Car System after Hoilett was convicted of two robberies and possession of a controlled substance, according to court documents obtained via public databases and records requests. Hoilett’s relationship with Crockett, who declared a run for Senate on Dec. 8, is unclear based on the documents, and the two simply noted their use for the car was “personal.” Hoilett’s car wreck then prompted Crockett to defend herself in court, marking one of her earliest cases as a licensed attorney.
Budget Rent A Car sued Crockett in 2007 for refusing to cough up money over an accident involving Hoilett, citing her rental agreement that she claimed was “invalid.” Crockett settled with the company for roughly $10,400 the following year.
The court records show how a repeat offender receiving light punishment sowed chaos in the future congresswoman’s life. In Congress, she later advocated for reducing incarceration and declining to prosecute low-level theft and other offenses people commit “to survive.” She also frames the justice system as prejudiced against black people and the poor, citing her work in the Bowie County Public Defender’s Office from 2007 to 2010.
Crockett called Budget on Nov. 6, 2006, to let them know Hoilett had taken the car to Louisiana and a friend of his ended up finding the vehicle, according to the company’s accident report. Documents from the lawsuit give conflicting dates and scant details for the accident, but Budget said the car was totaled from the damage.
Around the time of the September 2007 lawsuit, which named Hoilett as a defendant, Hoilett was arrested again– for trespassing in someone’s vehicle in April 2007, then for felony theft after refusing to return a Dollar Rent A Car van. Hoilett served seven months behind bars for the theft offense.
Meanwhile, Crockett, who was licensed by the State Bar of Texas in November 2006, represented herself in court and was forced to pay $10,407.12 to settle the case after various legal blunders, including missing filing deadlines.
This is not too surprising. As President Trump has repeatedly noted, she’s incredibly “low-IQ.”
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Jasmine Crockett launched her campaign for Republican John Cornyn’s Senate seat earlier this month at a bizarre launch party with rap music, and she actually cried on stage.
The far-left rep’s ghetto event was emceed by rapper Cameron McCloud, who rapped, “She ain’t never scared if she ain’t never been. Who was willing to go toe to toe against the president?” He then called out the “racist bigots,” but he couldn’t even rap his own song, acknowledging that some of the words got “messed up.”

In another hilarious moment before she took the stage to make her announcement, everybody in the audience was asked to turn their attention to the screen, where they played a brutal audio compilation of Trump roasting her as “Low I.Q.”
“She’s the new star of the Democrat Party, Jasmine. Crockett. They’re in big trouble,” Trump says on the tape. “You have this woman, Crockett. She’s a very low-IQ person.”
“Crockett, oh, man, oh man, she’s a very low IQ person,” the tape continues. “Somebody said the other day she’s one of the leaders of the party. I said, You’ve got to be kidding.”
