Hollyweird actress Amanda Seyfried faced criticism following comments she made immediately after conservative icon Charlie Kirk was murdered in a politically motivated assassination. In a new interview, she doubled down in vulgar fashion.
Following the assassination, Seyfried commented on an Instagram reel of his remarks and labeled him ‘misogynistic and racist.’
While Seyfried apparently has a strong opinion about Kirk, it is unclear if she ever actually listened to him debate or is relying only on selective soundbites peddled by the far left.
In a follow-up post, Seyfried attempted to clarify her initial remarks, saying, ” “I don’t want to add fuel to a fire. I just want to be able to give clarity to something so irresponsibly (but understandably) taken out of context. Spirited discourse – isn’t that what we should be having?”

In an interview with WhoWhatWhere, Seyfriend doubled down, saying, “I’m not f***ing apologizing for that. I mean, for f***’s sake, I commented on one thing. I said something that was based on actual reality and actual footage and actual quotes. What I said was pretty damn factual, and I’m free to have an opinion, of course.”
“Thank God for Instagram. I was able to give some clarity, and it was about getting my voice back because I felt like it had been stolen and recontextualized—which is what people do, of course.”
Seyfried has yet to provide examples of Kirk being ‘misogynistic and racist’ likely because, like many of those who have smeared Kirk, she hasn’t actually listened to him speak.
Turning Point USA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet said Seyfried is free to say what she wants, but “deserved whatever backlash she gets.”
“Amanda Seyfried obviously knows nothing about who Charlie Kirk actually was. She’s a victim of her own algorithm and echo chamber. But if your reaction to an innocent husband and father being assassinated in cold blood is to pile on and call him ‘hateful’ instead of offering condolences, or just remaining silent — I know wild concept — then you are the hateful one,” Kolvert said.
Seyfried’s superficial and simplistic thought process was also on display during an interview with Variety, where she extolled the virtues of socialism, calling it a “gorgeous idea.”
“How about we all don’t have any kind of agendas? How about our agenda is take care of each other? Socialism is a gorgeous idea, and I know it doesn’t work perfectly, or that people understand what the word actually means. For me, it’s taking care of each other. If I have more money, I can spend more money on other people.”
