President Trump on Wednesday issued a full and unconditional pardon to Texas Democrat Rep. Henry Cuellar and his wife, Imelda.
Cuellar and his wife were facing a maximum of 204 years in prison after Biden’s DOJ indicted them on federal bribery and money laundering charges last year.
Biden’s DOJ charged Cuellar, a nine-term Democrat Texas lawmaker who represents an area along the US-Mexico border, after he lashed out at both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for allowing illegal aliens to pour over the border.
Trump ripped Biden’s weaponized DOJ as he announced his pardon of Rep. Henry Cuellar and wife Imelda.
“For years, the Biden Administration weaponized the Justice System against their Political Opponents, and anyone who disagreed with them. One of the clearest examples of this was when Crooked Joe used the FBI and DOJ to “take out” a member of his own Party after Highly Respected Congressman Henry Cuellar bravely spoke out against Open Borders, and the Biden Border “Catastrophe.” Sleepy Joe went after the Congressman, and even the Congressman’s wonderful wife, Imelda, simply for speaking the TRUTH,” President Trump said on Truth Social.
“It is unAmerican and, as I previously stated, the Radical Left Democrats are a complete and total threat to Democracy! They will attack, rob, lie, cheat, destroy, and decimate anyone who dares to oppose their Far Left Agenda, an Agenda that, if left unchecked, will obliterate our magnificent Country. Because of these facts, and others, I am hereby announcing my full and unconditional PARDON of beloved Texas Congressman Henry Cuellar, and Imelda,” Trump said.
“Henry, I don’t know you, but you can sleep well tonight — Your nightmare is finally over!” President Trump said.
Last year, Democrat Rep. Henry Cuellar and his wife Imedla Cuellar were indicted by a federal grand jury on federal bribery and money laundering charges.
“An indictment was unsealed today in the Southern District of Texas charging U.S. Congressman Enrique Roberto “Henry” Cuellar, 68, and his wife, Imelda Cuellar, 67, both of Laredo, Texas, with participating in two schemes involving bribery, unlawful foreign influence, and money laundering. Congressman Cuellar and Imelda Cuellar made their initial court appearance today before U.S. Magistrate Judge Dena Palermo in Houston.” – Biden’s DOJ announced in May 2024.
“According to court documents, beginning in at least December 2014 and continuing through at least November 2021, Congressman Cuellar and Imelda Cuellar allegedly accepted approximately $600,000 in bribes from two foreign entities: an oil and gas company wholly owned and controlled by the Government of Azerbaijan, and a bank headquartered in Mexico City. The bribe payments were allegedly laundered, pursuant to sham consulting contracts, through a series of front companies and middlemen into shell companies owned by Imelda Cuellar, who performed little to no legitimate work under the contracts.” the DOJ said.
Cuellar was raided by the FBI and subpoenaed in 2022 shortly after he blasted Biden Regime.
Feds began issuing a flurry of subpoenas seeking records related to Democrat Rep. Henry Cuellar, his wife Imelda and campaign staffers.
