‘The Reckoning’, a ‘staggering examination’ of the allegations against Diddy.
On December 2, Diddy will be back in the world’s screens – for all the wrong reasons.
Now that disgraced rap mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is settling in at low-security FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, maybe things will quiet down and he will be out of the headlines for a while, right?
Wrong. We can thank rival rapper Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson for that.
50-Dent is not letting go of the rivalry with Diddy.
A year after 50 Cent announced that he would produce a Netflix documentary series about the allegations against Diddy, the project now has an official title and release date.
Entertainment Weekly reported:
“Sean Combs: The Reckoning will premiere on Dec. 2, just two months after the disgraced music mogul was sentenced to 50 months, or just over four years, in prison for two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Combs is expected to be released in May 2028.
Per the docuseries’ official synopsis, the four-part documentary executive produced by Jackson and directed by Emmy winner Alexandria Stapleton is a ‘staggering examination’ of the allegations lobbied against Combs and his eventual conviction.”

“’Born with an insatiable drive for stardom and a knack for spotting talent, Combs made a quick ascent through the ranks of the music industry with Bad Boy Entertainment and was crucial in bringing hip-hop to the pop masses and launching the careers of dozens of generation-defining artists like The Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, Jodeci and Danity Kane’, the synopsis reads.
‘But along the way, and as detailed by his former associates, childhood friends, artists and employees, something darker began to color his ambitions.”
The four-episode series is expected to feature ‘explosive, never-before-seen materials’,” including interviews with people in Diddy’s orbit.
50 Cent producing a Diddy documentary is the most ‘grab your popcorn’ energy I’ve seen all year. The title ‘The Reckoning’ already told me peace won’t be present.
