Report: Two More Arrests in Connection with Michigan ISIS-Inspired Halloween Terror Plot Including Son of Iranian American Poet

The Gateway Pundit reported that five suspects, including two twenty-year-olds and three young men under the age of 18, were arrested in the nation’s largest Muslim majority city of Dearborn, Michigan, on Friday during an FBI raid. Reports now reveal two additional arrests have been made.

According to Patel, these suspects “were allegedly plotting a violent attack over Halloween weekend.”

Attorney General Pamela Bondi shared, “Our newly unsealed complaint reveals a major ISIS-linked terror plot with multiple subjects arrested in the Eastern District of Michigan targeting the United States.”

“According to the complaint, subjects had multiple AR-15 rifles, tactical gear, and a detailed plan to carry out an attack on American soil.”

“Thanks to the extraordinary diligence of our US Attorney Jerome Gorgon Jr., the FBI and state and local law enforcement officers, this plot was stopped before innocent lives were lost.”

“Our American heroes prevented a terror attack.”

Initial information revealed Mohmed ALI, 20, and Majed Mahmoud as two of the individuals named in the criminal complaint and they were charged with:

Receiving and transferring, and attempting and conspiring to transfer, firearms and ammunition, knowing and having reasonable cause to believe that the firearms and ammunition would be used to commit a Federal crime of terrorism.

According to sources speaking to The New York Post, additional arrests have been made, including Milo Sedarat, the son of Iranian-American poet Roger Sedarat, who was reportedly arrested at his home in Montclair, New Jersey. Tomas Kaan Guzel, 19, was also arrested in Montclair.

Per the Post:

Milo Sedarat was arrested at his father’s home in Montclair Wednesday, sources told The Post.

Dad Roger Sedarat is an award-winning Iranian-American poet and a professor at Queens College in New York City.

The feds also nabbed another Montclair teen, Tomas Kaan Guzel, 19, sources said.

The NJ men were taken into custody following a joint investigation by the NYPD’s Intelligence Bureau and the FBI.

Fox News reporter Michael Ruiz reports, “Federal agents have arrested two more suspects tied to an alleged ISIS-inspired Halloween attack plot in Michigan, according to a law enforcement source. Investigators believe additional accomplices may still be at large, with more arrests possible.”

Ruiz added that Guzmal and Sedarat are due in federal court in New Jersey later today.
