Foul-mouthed and temperamental former Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA) has broken her silence following the release of a string of videos showcasing her horrific abuse of staffers and journalists.
As the Gateway Pundit reported, Porter, who is running for California governor, had a bizarre meltdown during a pre-recorded interview with CBS Sacramento affiliate KOVR-TV reporter Julie Watts, which was released on Monday and went viral on Tuesday.
Porter threatened to walk out, saying she did not want to have an “unhappy experience with you, and I don’t want this on camera.” The reporter Julie Watts tried to calm Porter, who at one point raised her hands to Watts, assuring her that she did not want to have an “unhappy experience.”
To make things worse for Porter, Politico unearthed a video showing her verbally abusing her staff. The abusive outburst happened in July 2021 while then-Rep. Porter spoke with Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm in an online exchange.
Porter lashed out at a masked staffer who could be seen in the background.
“Get out of my f**king shot!” Porter shouted as the staffer tried to correct something she said about electric vehicles.
“You also were in my shot before that. Stay out of my shot,” Porter said as she pounded her fists on a table.
She was also caught shooting death stares at her staffers in another leaked video.
On Tuesday, Porter sat down with FOX 40’s Nikki Laurenzo to respond to these shocking displays of foul temperament.
As one will notice, Porter’s response was quite unconvincing and pathetic.

LAURENZO: This is your first time speaking publicly since the now-two viral videos. What do you want people to know about you, and do you have the temperament to be the next governor of California?
PORTER: When I look at those videos, I want people to know that I understand that I could have handled things better.
I think I’m known as someone who’s able to handle tough questions, who’s willing to answer questions, and I want people to know that I really value the incredible work that my staff can do.
I think people who know me know I can be tough, but I need to do a better job expressing appreciation for the amazing work that my team does.
