Former ESPN host Keith Olbermann went on a shockingly vile rant on social media following news that the Jimmy Kimmel show was being removed.
The Gateway Pundit reported that ABC broadcast affiliate Nexstar removed Jimmy Kimmel from all 32 of their stations on Wednesday after the late-night host lied about Charlie Kirk’s assassin. Disney also pulled Kimmel’s show.
“Disney is pulling “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” “indefinitely,” the company confirmed to Fox News Digital,” Fox reported.
“Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: NXST), today announced that the company’s owned and partner television stations affiliated with the ABC Television Network will preempt “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” for the foreseeable future beginning with tonight’s show. Nexstar strongly objects to recent comments made by Mr. Kimmel concerning the killing of Charlie Kirk and will replace the show with other programming in its ABC-affiliated markets,” the statement read.
In a delicious twist of poetic justice, ABC affiliates are set to replace Kimmel’s time slot with a heartfelt special tribute to Kirk.
On Wednesday, Nexstar announced that all 32 of its ABC broadcast affiliates will preempt “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” indefinitely, blasting Kimmel’s sick comments about Kirk’s murder as “offensive and insensitive.”
Sinclair Broadcast Group, the largest ABC affiliate group, shared a statement on X saying that Kimmel’s suspension is not enough and called on the FCC and ABC to take additional action. Sinclair’s ABC stations will air a special in remembrance of Kirk during Kimmel’s spot.
“Mr. Kimmel’s remarks were inappropriate and deeply insensitive at a critical moment for our country,” said Vice Chairman Jason Smith. “We believe broadcasters have a responsibility to educate and elevate respectful, constructive dialogue in our communities. We appreciate FCC Chairman Carr’s remarks today, and this incident highlights the critical need for the FCC to take immediate regulatory action to address control held over local broadcasters by the big national networks.”

X users lambasted Olbermann, with one user noting, “Our Takeaway: You Want Us To Die. At some point, we have to draw a line. We aren’t cancelling you for the same arbitrary reasons you cancelled us in 2020. We are cancelling you because if we don’t, then you actually will kill us, and the country is going into civil war.”
Hello Mr. Olbermann,
This is going to be a different “Hello” than usual.
I cannot bring myself to do a snarky post, not when you have revealed yourself to have so much hatred in your heart.
Let me try and explain to you in a way that you can accept this, if there is any…
