Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron To Present Photographic and Scientific Evidence to the Court To Prove She Is a Woman, While Candace Owens Doubles Down on Claims

Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron are suing US journalist Candace Owens in Delaware.

The Brigitte Macron-Candace Owens controversy appears to be far from over.

Reports arose yesterday (18) saying that French president Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte will ‘present photographic and scientific evidence’ to a Delaware court in an effort to prove that the French first lady is a indeed woman.

The Telegraph reported:

“The Macrons will present the evidence in a defamation suit they have brought against Candace Owens, the Right-wing ‘Maga’ influencer who has repeatedly insisted that Brigitte Macron is a transgender woman.”

Their lawyer Tom Clare said that Brigitte Macron found Owens’ allegations ‘incredibly upsetting’, and that these claims were a ‘distraction’ to the French president’s career.

“Mr. Clare said on the BBC’s Fame Under Fire podcast: ‘We’re prepared to demonstrate fully, both generically and specifically, that what she’s saying about Brigitte Macron is false. […] It is incredibly upsetting to think that you have to go and subject yourself, to put this type of proof forward’.

‘It is a process that she will have to subject herself to in a very public way. But she’s willing to do it. She is firmly resolved to do what it takes to set the record straight’.”

Back in May, an out-of-control Brigitte slapped her husband in front of the cameras as they arrived in Vietnam for an official visit.

Clare said the powerful couple would supply to the court pictures of Brigitte pregnant and raising her children.

Owens claims that Brigitte was born male with the name Jean-Michel Trogneux who ‘groomed’ Emmanuel as a teenager, before ‘transitioning’ to live as a woman.

Clare also said that the Macrons will testify.

“Mr. Macron said: ‘This is about defending my honor. Because this is nonsense. This is someone who knew full well that she had false information and did so with the aim of causing harm, in the service of an ideology and with established connections to far-Right leaders’.”

In the meantime, Candace Owens has launched a blistering attack on Brigitte Macron.

In a legal filing Owens argues that the suit is a ‘politically motivated’ attempt to suppress free speech, and that the Macrons attempt to punish her for commentary protected under the First Amendment.

Daily Mail reported:

“’In contravention of a sacred precept of U.S. Constitutional Law, the President and First Lady of France… have filed a baseless defamation suit against an independent American journalist who broadcasts a daily news and culture show from her basement in Nashville, Tennessee,’ Owens’ legal team wrote in their response.”

Owens’ attorneys argue that the Macron’s suit is ‘about optics’.

“’The French president and his wife cynically avoided filing their Francocentric case in their home country,’ the filing states. ‘The reason is clear: this matter is not a legitimate legal action, but rather a transparent ruse orchestrated by Plaintiffs’ high-priced public relations firm’.”

In Jult, Brigitte refuses to hold her husband’s hand as they arrive in England.

Owens seeks to dismiss the suit on the grounds of lack of jurisdiction, expiration of France’s statute of limitations, and the fact that the jurisdiction that has little or no connection to the dispute.

“Owens’ team has called the strategy ‘quintessential libel tourism’ and says Delaware’s own laws require the application of France’s much shorter three-month statute of limitations on defamation – meaning the claims would already be time-barred.

[…] Owens’ lawyers also argue that continuing litigation in Delaware would place an ‘overwhelming hardship’ on the commentator, who would be forced to spend considerable resources to defend herself in a jurisdiction with ‘no connection to the claims, parties, or operative facts at issue.’

‘There are no relevant witnesses or evidence located in Delaware, nor would any substantive Delaware law apply to a defamation suit brought by the French President and First Lady against an independent Tennessee journalist,’ the filing argues.”
