Earlier today, President Donald Trump told Texas Republicans in a phone call that the GOP will try to gain five more Republican congressional seats with redistricting in the Lone Star State.

The redistricting could affect who takes control of Congress in 2026.

President Trump posted the results from Texas in the 2024 election earlier today.
Trump took the state by one-and-a-half million votes! It was a complete wipeout!

Trumo won the Lone Star State by 14 percentage points!

Maybe that is why he is talking about taking more congressional seats in the coming midterm elections.

Texas is expected to gain 4 congressional seats in 2030 due to continued population growth.
