The young female athlete who was caught on tape viciously assaulting her track star rival with a baton has come forward and decided to insult the intelligence of everyone who saw the video documenting her action.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, a horrifying scene unfolded on Friday during a track title race in Virginia with a jealous competitor viciously assaulting her star rival. Brookville High School junior Kaelen Tucker was taking part in the 4×200 meter relay at the VHSL Class 3 State Indoor Championships at Liberty University in Lynchburg after winning a silver medal in the girl’s 55m dash earlier in the meet when the incident occurred.
Tucker, who was the second-leg runner, tried to move into lane one while battling second in the front as she rounds turn four. But a vicious rival from IC Norcom High School instead slowed down, pulled her arm back, and smashed her baton with full force across the back of Tucker’s head.
Tucker then staggered off track while holding her head and crumpled to the ground as the horrified crowd gasps. She suffered a concussion and a possible skull fracture as a result of the incident.
But Alaila Everett, the athlete responsible for the assault, astonishingly claimed the clear-cut video was misleading.
“They’re going off of one angle,” the IC Norcom High School senior told WAVY while visibly sobbing.
Then Everett came up with the most insane lie possible to defend her actions.
“After a couple times of hitting her, my baton got stuck behind her back like this, and it rolled up her back. I lost my balance when I pumped my arms again. She got hit,” she stated.
“I know my intentions and I would never hit someone on purpose,” she said.

Everett also played the victim card, claiming her feelings were hurt and that she had been the subject of racist death threats following the incident.
“Everybody has feelings, so you’re physically hurt, but you’re not thinking of my mental, right?” the teen said while crying.
“They are assuming my character, calling me ghetto and racist slurs, death threats, all of this just because of a nine second video,” she added.
Zeketa Cost, Everett’s mom told WAVY that she “100%” believes her daughter despite the overwhelming evidence.
“I didn’t have to see a first video, second video or tenth video. I know 100 percent that she would never do that to nobody,” Cost asserted.
Tucker’s parents previously told WSLS they want an apology from Everett and the coach of I.C. Norcom. As WAVY notes, Everett is receptive but complains Tucker is “not receptive” and has blocked her on social media.
WAVY also revealed that the Everett family was served with court papers because the Tucker family wants a protective order, which upset Alaila Everett’s father, Genoa.
“It doesn’t seem right that this would happen and now we have to go to a city three hours away that everyone hates our guts already,” he said.
