MAGA champion Steve Bannon was on ABCs “This Week” with Jon Karl on Sunday morning to discuss President Trump and the MAGA movement.
Bannon told Karl that President Trump put together a coalition and that as President, he will work to unify the country. He also told Karl that going after lawbreakers in the government is not retribution, but it is necessary to protect the future of the United States.
“Look at the coalition we put together, what happened on 5 November, right? Look, I realize I’m, you know, always on the attack, but he’s President of the United States. He won his victory, he has a big coalition to pull together and I think he’s gonna try to unify the country,” Bannon said.
“So does that mean all that talk of retribution is never mind?” Karl asked.
“His idea of retribution is peace and prosperity. It’s security in a new golden age,” Bannon said of President Trump.
“So, prosecuting his enemies, going after the January 6th Committee, going after the prosecutors the way they went after him, Mark Milley, all that stuff, forget about that?” Karl asked.
“I didn’t say that. I think that is different. I don’t think that is revenge or retribution at all. And I’m a big believer and I’ve said this over and over again. I say it on the show every day. We have obligations to this Republic that this could never happen again,” Bannon declared.
Karl had also talked with Bannon about billionaires Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos. Bannon explained to Karl that he believed they are “supplicants.”
“You are gonna see the three richest Americans ever, you are gonna see Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, prime seats,” Karl said of the inauguration.
“They are there as supplicants, they are not there as the oligarchs,” Bannon said.
“Most people in our movement look at this as President Trump broke the oligarchs. He broke’em, and they surrendered,” Bannon said.
“He is like Douglas MacArthur. That is an official surrender, ok, and I think it’s powerful,” Bannon said.
Bannon also called out Mark Zuckerberg and labeled him a criminal.
“Do you believe his conversion?” Karl asked about Zuckerberg.
“Absolutely not. I think Mark Zuckerberg is a criminal,” Bannon said.
“That guy will flip on President Trump, and he will flip on us in a second. When it’s convenient for him, he will flip,” Bannon continued.
