Florida Senator and Trump’s Nominee for Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, will sit this morning before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for his confirmation hearing.
President Trump announced that Rubio will serve as his Secretary of State in November.
As Secretary of State, I will work every day to carry out his foreign policy agenda. Under the leadership of President Trump we will deliver peace through strength and always put the interests of Americans and America above all else. I look forward to earning the support of my colleagues in the U.S. Senate so the President has his national security and foreign policy team in place when he takes office on January 20,” Rubio said following his nomination.
Trump’s Attorney General Nominee, Pam Bondi, and CIA Director Nominee John Ratcliffe will also testify this morning during their confirmation hearings.

Defense Secretary Nominee Pete Hegseth also appeared for an explosive first confirmation hearing on Tuesday, and Democrat Senators grilled him and pushed bogus rape accusations to smear his character.
President Trump is hoping to have his team in place by Inauguration Day on January 20, 2025, so that he will be able to move on his agenda immediately.
The hearings for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for health and human services secretary, Tulsi Gabbard for director of national intelligence, Kash Patel for director of the FBI, and Rep. Elise Stefanik for ambassador to the United Nations, have not yet been set. See the current schedule for hearings here.
Unlike Trump’s other appointments, Rubio is expected to be a shoo-in for Secretary of State, facing little critique from the left.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, newly elected far-left Democrat Senator Adam Schiff recently said that Rubio is “unquestionably qualified” for his role.
