So much for “defending democracy.” Radicals on the left are now calling on congress to reject the results of the election and make Kamala Harris president.

The Hill has floated a plan to stop Donald Trump from taking office next month and declare Kamala Harris the next president of the United States.
According to an opinion piece by Evan A. Davis and David M. Schulte, who worked as editor-in-chief of the Columbia Law Review and editor-in-chief of the Yale Law Journal respectively, Congress has the power to block Donald Trump from taking office because he has previously engaged in a so-called “insurrection.”
The article goes on to cite legal arguments and historical precedents that would make this constitutional.
While the authors admit that such a plan is unlikely, they argue that Democrats still need to “take a stand” and nullify the results of the 2024 presidential election in which Trump delivered a landslide victory.
Under their dastardly plan, Kamala Harris would then be “elected president” and seize control of the White House.
They are making no claim that there was something wrong with the election. They do not raise concerns of widespread fraud, mail in ballots, vote spikes at 2am, poll watchers being kicked out, judges remaking election law, or dead people voting.
They simply don’t like the voice of the people. After all the protesting about an “insurrection” here they are advocating for the vote of the people to be rejected so they can select Kamala as president.
