Trump-Endorsed Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ)
Congressman Eli Crane (R-AZ), a Navy SEAL veteran, plans to introduce a resolution honoring Marine veteran Daniel Penny by awarding him a Congressional Gold Medal, Congress’ highest civilian honor, as the witch hunt persecution continues against the innocent man.
Penny was charged with manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide for using a chokehold to detain Jordan Neely, a homeless man who was threatening to kill people on the subway, in May 2023. Neely later died after police arrived at the scene and opted not to attempt mouth-to-mouth resuscitation due to his appearance of being a drug user.
Now He’s facing criminal charges. He was facing a maximum of 15 years in prison if convicted of the now-dismissed manslaughter charge.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, on Friday morning, the jury informed the judge that they could not come to a unanimous decision regarding the manslaughter charge.
However, the 12-person panel will continue deliberating on Monday whether to convict Penny of criminally negligent homicide.

Neely also had an extensive criminal history and an outstanding warrant when he began threatening innocent bystanders on the Subway last year.
This is nothing but leftist prosecutors’ attempt to enforce “equitable justice” against an innocent white man.
Crane’s resolution, titled the “Daniel Penny Congressional Gold Medal Act,” notes the convict, Jordan Neely’s, criminal background, outstanding arrest warrant, and threatening behavior, as well as Biden’s failure “to adequately protect residents and their property from violent criminals” over the last four years.
“The courageous actions taken in response to the threat to his community by Daniel Penny, a decorated U.S. Marine Corps veteran, went beyond the civilian call of duty,” it states.
“It is the sense of the Congress that Daniel Penny, with integrity and honor that is characteristic of who he is and of his honorable service in the United States Marine Corps, stepped in to protect women and children from an individual who was threatening to kill innocent bystanders, and he is a hero.”
“Penny’s actions exemplify what it means to stand against the grain to do right in a world that rewards moral cowardice,” Crane said in an X post Friday:

In another post, Crane compares Penny’s situation to Hunter Biden, who recently issued a sweeping pardon for all of his crimes over the last eleven years, stating, “A spoiled elite with a decade of crimes gets off scot-free while a selfless Marine who acted with courage gets put through the wringer.”

Republicans in Congress must unanimously support this resolution.
