(VIDEO) Trump Asked if He’s Planning to Take Out Khamenei’s Son After He’s Selected as Iran’s New Supreme Leader

Trump speaks to reporters at Trump National Doral

President Trump held a press conference on Monday, where he spoke about the new leader of Iran and did not rule out killing Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s son, Mojtaba Khamenei, who has been chosen to succeed the elder Khamenei.

This comes amid reports that Mojtaba Khamenei may already be in the crosshairs of Israel, which has already threatened to kill whoever is chosen as supreme leader.

At the start of the press conference, Trump outlined his requirements for a new leader of Iran, saying he’s not going to approve of someone who will remain peaceful for future presidents.

Trump: We’re ahead of our initial timeline by a lot. I would say that we probably would not have thought after a month we’d be here, in addition to the fact that we’ve taken out the leadership twice and maybe three times. And we, as you know, we want to be involved. We don’t want another president that maybe wouldn’t be willing to do what I’m willing to do for the good of the world, for the good of our nation, to be stuck with the situation in five years or 10 years from now.

So, we think they should put a president in or the head of the country in that’s going to be able to do something peacefully for a change. They’ve been doing this for 47 years, killing people for 47 years.

Later, Trump was asked if he had to take Khamenei out, and he did not rule it out. “I don’t want to say that, but, you know, I was disappointed because we think it’s going to lead to just more of the same problem for the country,” he said.

Reporter: Do you have to take him out? Does he have a target on his back? How can there be an Iran with another Ayatollah?

Trump: Well, I don’t want to say that, but, you know, I was disappointed because we think it’s going to lead to just more of the same problem for the country. So, I was disappointed to see their choice.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Ali Khamenei’s son, 56-year-old Mojtaba Khamenei, was chosen by Iran’s clerical establishment to lead Iran after Ali Khamenei was killed in Operation Epic Fury late last month.

Trump weighed in on Sunday, saying Khamenei is “not going to last long.”

“He’s going to have to get approval from us,” Trump said.
