Full White House statement on Trump’s visit to Corpus Christi:
As President Donald J. Trump travels to Corpus Christi, Texas, today, he returns to a state that is thriving under Republican leadership — powered by American energy dominance, bold tax relief, secure borders, and massive private sector investments.
Under President Trump, Texas families are seeing real results in lower costs, higher wages, safer streets, and more jobs — with much more to come as the Trump Administration works tirelessly to repair the damage of the Biden era.
Lower energy costs are putting money back in Texans’ pockets.
Texas’s average price for regular gasoline stands at $2.60 per gallon — down more than $2 per gallon (44%) from its all-time recordBiden-era high — ranking among the nation’s top ten states for affordable fuel.
Gas can even be found for less than $2 per gallon at several stations across the state.
Diesel prices have also dropped significantly, down 38% from the Biden-era record high.
Tax relief is boosting take-home pay for Texas families.
1) Thanks to President Trump’s and Republicans’ Working Families Tax Cuts Act, the average Texas family is saving $4,009 on their taxes this year.
2) Texans stand to see wages rise by up to $6,900 per person over the next several years.
3)Tax reforms will protect 580,000 Texas jobs in the coming years.
4)Texas is receiving an investment of more than $281 million in rural health care thanks to Republicans — strengthening communities across the state.
It’s becoming more affordable to live in Texas.
Overall, the average home price in Texas is down 2.4% over the past year.
Texas is home to three of the top 20 metro areas with the largest number of illegal aliens — all of which have seen homes become more affordable amid President Trump’s mass deportation agenda.
In the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the median home listing price is down nearly 4% over the past year.
In the Houston metro area, the median home listing price is down 3% over the past year.
In the Austin metro area, the median home listing price is down 8% over last year.
Rent prices are falling in cities across Texas, including Austin (the “sharpest decline” among large metro areas), San Antonio, Waco, McAllen, Brownsville, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Houston, El Paso, and more.
The Trump Administration has taken thousands of dangerous criminal illegal aliens off Texas’s streets.
Just last week, an illegal alien with a conviction for bodily injury to a child under 12-years-old and an illegal alien with a conviction for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon were arrested in Harris County.
Last weekend, an illegal alien from Mexico with a conviction for indecency with a child was arrested in Tarrant County and an illegal from Grenada with a conviction for indecent assault was arrested in Houston.
