President Trump has kept his promise to seal the border upon resuming office in January of 2025. Illegal crossings are down significantly.
Four years of open borders under Biden resulted in millions of illegals entering the United States with no vetting or accountability whatsoever.
The result is a continuous pursuit of illegal aliens by law enforcement agencies such as ICE. There are also state agencies, such as the Texas DPS, which have worked with the Border Patrol to protect Americans from illegal alien criminals.
Texas DPS in Maverick County started off the New Year by arresting seven illegal aliens hiding in the brush on private ranchlands. Such a difficult task involved the DPS K-9 Unit and the Border Mounted Patrol.
The K-9 unit tracked a total of 11 miles to help find where the illegals were hiding. Of those captured, some of them were previously deported, and some had criminal backgrounds, including assault and being a child predator.

TGP reported in late December 2025 of the DPS on a high-speed chase of a human smuggler transporting ten illegal aliens, which resulted in a crash with a commercial vehicle.

Securing the US from invasion is vital to protecting the nation’s future. The US Constitution gives the United States Government the responsibility and authority to protect its borders from an invasion, which is explained in Article IV, Section 4.
“The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.” Article IV, Section 4 of the United States Constitution.
Under the leadership of President Trump, the rule of law is back.
Although many blue states have been working against the US Government over the apprehension of illegals, Texas DPS has worked side by side with the Border Patrol to help enforce the law.
