Dallas Church Cages Holy Family in Barbed Wire, Removes Baby Jesus, to Push Open Borders Agenda

Oak Lawn United Methodist Church in Dallas has twisted the sacred Christmas nativity into a propaganda tool against U.S. immigration enforcement.

The display features an empty altar inside the church, slapped with a mocking “ICE was here” sign, while figures of Mary and Joseph are locked in a barbed-wire cage on the steps, without baby Jesus.

DALLAS — To protest ICE, Oak Lawn UMC has put the Holy Family in a cage and removed baby Jesus.

Church officials posted signs:

“HOLY ARE TRANS LIVES”

“HOLY ARE OUR UNSHELTERED NEIGHBORS”

(The church also asked them to refrain from sleeping, littering, and to “not use the outside of the building as a restroom.”)

Associate Pastor Isabel Marquez, who’s clearly injecting her personal politics into the pulpit, defended the setup by admitting to WFAA, “Is it political? Probably. But this is the time and space that we are in right now.”

Marquez rambled on about immigrants “trying to seek help for assistance and for refuge” while doors are slammed shut, drawing a forced parallel to the Holy Family. “That’s a sacred resistance for us, so that’s why we’re doing that,” Marquez claimed, even dragging Jesus into her agenda by saying, “I think Jesus was very political. Let’s see who he was hanging out with, who he was defending all the time.”

“People are trying to seek help for assistance and for refuge, and the inn is saying no. It’s closing the doors,” she said. “This Holy Family is telling us that we are receiving that knock on our doors too.”

The display has rightly caused a bit of an uproar on social media.

The church is no stranger to pushing far-left ideology, even painting its steps in the rainbow flag to virtue signal after Governor Greg Abbott put a stop to rainbow-painted crosswalks.

This isn’t an isolated stunt; similar immigration-themed nativity scenes have popped up in congregations across the country this holiday season.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Lake Street Church of Evanston, Illinois, posted photos of a blasphemous “Nativity” scene protesting ICE by placing baby Jesus in zip-tie handcuffs.

“The zip ties on the infant’s wrists directly reference the children who were zip-tied by agents during a raid on a Chicago apartment building earlier this year, where most residents were U.S. citizens: a stark reminder that enforcement terror does not discriminate by documentation status,” the church claimed.
