Here We Go: Michigan Dem Rep Files Impeachment Articles Against RFK Jr., Accuses Him of Abandoning “Science” and Endangering Americans

Michigan Democrat Rep. Haley Stevens formally introduced Articles of Impeachment against the formidable Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Her breathless press release, a tirade of partisan talking points and unproven accusations, alleges Secretary Kennedy has “turned his back on science” and is “endangering Americans.”

This is a classic, frantic attempt by the establishment to take down a true reformer who is shining a light on decades of cronyism and corruption in America’s health agencies.

Stevens said in a statement:

“Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has turned his back on science, on public health, and on the American people – spreading conspiracies and lies, driving up costs, and putting lives at risk.

Under his watch, families are less safe and less healthy, people are paying more for care, lifesaving research has been gutted, and vaccines have been restricted.

He has driven up health care costs while tearing down the scientific institutions that keep Michiganders and families across America safe.

His actions are reckless, his leadership is harmful, and his tenure has become a direct threat to our nation’s health and security. Congress cannot and will not stand by while one man dismantles decades of medical progress.”

Rep. Stevens claims RFK Jr. has “turned his back on science.” In reality, he is the first HHS Secretary in decades to demand real scientific evidence, not pharmaceutical press releases, before policies are imposed on the American people.

Lifesaving research: gutted. Vaccines: restricted. Science: ignored.

Enough is enough. RFK Jr. must be removed from office. pic.twitter.com/00d0ic2Mah

Below are the core allegations pushed by Rep. Stevens and her Big Pharma–aligned allies and the truth they are hoping you never read.

FALSE CLAIM #1: RFK Jr. “cut cancer research” and “slashed lifesaving programs.”

THE TRUTH: RFK Jr. redirected funds away from duplication, waste, and non-performing grant programs that federal auditors flagged for years.

The Stevens narrative conveniently ignores that Secretary Kennedy’s HHS has explicitly doubled funding for AI-backed childhood cancer research at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), a key component of the MAHA strategy.

The MAHA agenda focuses on finding the root causes of chronic disease, not just endless, expensive treatments that pad Big Pharma’s profits.

FALSE CLAIM #2: RFK Jr. “restricted vaccines.”

Kennedy canceled research on mRNA vaccines because these experimental, liability-free technologies, designed for rapidly emerging diseases like COVID, do not belong in the mandatory, childhood schedule.

The previous administration’s obsession with endless mRNA boosters was a gift to Pfizer, not public health. Kennedy put an end to that gravy train!

FALSE CLAIM #3: RFK Jr. “spread Tylenol conspiracies.”

The Secretary’s remarks on the unproven link between Tylenol (acetaminophen) during pregnancy and autism risk have been sensationalized.

The reality is that the Trump administration is simply pushing for a transparent, thorough scientific review of the issue, acknowledging that some preliminary studies have suggested a need for caution and further investigation.

The Secretary himself has since offered a more measured assessment, advising pregnant women to consult their doctors.

This is not an impeachment. It is a political retaliation campaign against a cabinet secretary who has done the unthinkable in Washington: challenge the pharmaceutical lobby, clean up corrupt research pipelines, demand transparency, and end decades of unaccountable public-health bureaucracy.

Below are the full points on her articles of impeachment:

RFK Jr.’s abdication of duty by cutting funding for lifesaving research, including:

Cancer research
Childhood cancer research
Research on Sudden Infant Death Syndrome
Studying how to combat addiction

RFK Jr. severely restricting access to vaccines, spreading absurd conspiracies, and putting lives in danger:

He made promises to the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee Chairman Bill Cassidy (R-LA), which he has not upheld.
He pushed wild and unfounded claims in an effort to limit access to Tylenol.
He canceled research on mRNA vaccines and vaccine hesitancy.
He oversaw the closure of a network of centers working to prevent future pandemics.
He alarmingly hired David Geier, a known vaccine skeptic–whom Maryland medical regulators disciplined for practicing medicine without a license–to reinvestigate the long-discredited theory that vaccines cause autism.
He withdrew federal recommendations for COVID shots for pregnant women and healthy children.
His appointed panel voted to drop the universal recommendation that infants get vaccinated for Hepatitis B.

RFK Jr.’s failure to carry out his statutory duties in administering the FDA and CDC:

He fired every member of the CDC’s vaccine expert panel.
He has politicized the FDA by calling it a “sock puppet” agency, and oversaw a staffing shortage that has limited the agency’s ability to fulfill its public duties.
He suggested eliminating entire FDA departments.
He ended public comment for HHS rulemaking, severely limiting the ability for health experts to be involved in HHS policy development, which was widely opposed by major public health advocates and supporters of government transparency.

On Wednesday, HHS spokesman Andrew Nixon dismissed Rep. Stevens’ impeachment push, stating, “Secretary Kennedy remains focused on improving Americans’ health and lowering costs, not on partisan theatrics designed to elevate standing in a failing, third-rate Senate bid.”
