Honduran socialists have accused President Trump of “electoral terrorism” after a conservative won the country’s presidential election.

While an official result has not yet been called, it currently appears that the Trump-algined Nasry Asfura of the National Party is likely to win by the tiniest or margins.

The vote count has been marred by technical problems, pauses, and accusations of fraud from the main candidates.

The election was also influenced by Trump’s decision to pardon former president Juan Orlando Hernández, arguing he was a victim of political persecution and an unfair “Biden setup.”

In a party statement, the country’s ruling left-wing Libre party called for mass mobilizations and the “total annulment” of the recent election, despite the fact they won less than 20 percent of the vote.

The statement read:

WE CONDEMN THE INTERFERENCE AND COERCION OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, DONALD TRUMP, IN THE HONDURAN ELECTIONS.

WE CONDEMN THE PARDON GRANTED TO THE DRUG TRAFFICKER JUAN ORLANDO HERNÁNDEZ BY PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP IN THE CONTEXT OF THE HONDURAN ELECTORAL PROCESS.

IT IS ORDERED TO REPORT THE FOREIGN INTERFERENCE OF PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP AND THE CRIME OF TREASON AGAINST THE HOMELAND FOR SUPPLANTING AND ADULTERATING POPULAR SOVEREIGNTY, BEFORE THE UN, OAS, CELAC AND OTHERS.

IT IS ORDERED TO REQUEST THE TOTAL ANNULMENT OF THE ELECTIONS, TO DEMAND THE INVESTIGATION OF ACTS OF ELECTORAL TERRORISM CARRIED OUT THROUGH THE TREP TRANSMISSION SYSTEM, AS DENOUNCED IN THE 26 AUDIOS.

THE HIGHEST AUTHORITY OF THE LIBRE PARTY IS ITS NATIONAL EXTRAORDINARY ASSEMBLY, CONVENED FOR NEXT SATURDAY, DECEMBER 13.

MOBILIZATIONS, LOCAL ASSEMBLIES, DEPARTMENTAL ASSEMBLIES, PROTESTS, STRIKES AND SIT-INS ARE HEREBY CALLED FOR.

Trump had actively endorsed Asfura in the run-up to the election, framing the election as a choice between a pro-American candidate and another aligned with communist regimes such as Cuba and Venezuela.

Democracy is on trial in the coming Elections in the beautiful country of Honduras on November 30th. Will Maduro and his Narcoterrorists take over another country like they have taken over Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela? The man who is standing up for Democracy, and fighting…

A Central American nation of about 10.7 million people,  Hondurasgoverned as a presidential republic but long troubled by corruption, military influence, and disputed elections.

Though not a major regional power, it is currently playing an outsized role in U.S. foreign policy due to its strategic position and the large number of Honduran illegal aliens residing across the country.
