Thomas Crooks’ On-Line Footprint Doesn’t Prove He Shot Anyone

Miranda Devine of the New York Post reported online that the man accused of shooting President Trump and others at the Butler, PA campaign rally on July 13, 2024, contrary to the FBI statements, had an online presence. The Post podcaster, like so many before her, seems fascinated with this information, but also wrongly refers to Thomas Matthew Crooks as the shooter.
While reporting that Crooks had an active online presence for nearly a decade is not odd in and of itself, it does raise an eyebrow because the FBI has yet to provide the public with information about Crooks’s online presence. In fact, the early reports from the FBI were that Crooks did not have any online fingerprints. But, again, that was within days of the shooting. Moreover, the FBI has not released any information about its investigation since August of 2024. Nothing. Nada. Zip. A big hole in a donut!
But does it really matter that Crooks had a digital footprint that reveals he was first conservative, then changed his views and became more violent as he aged? Does it matter that Crooks was obsessed with violence and had become increasingly radical in his thoughts?
These questions are important because, contrary to what everyone in the press believes and reports, the FBI has never released its investigation of the Butler shooting, and the public knows very little about the alleged shooter.
The bottom line is that there is NO physical evidence that has been made public by the FBI or any other investigative body that proves Thomas Matthew Crooks shot anyone.
In fact, being aware of the questionable way the crime scene was handled, the public may never hear the truth about what happened that steamy July afternoon in Butler, PA. Remember that the Butler County Coroner, William Young, was turned away at midnight on the evening of the shooting and told to return the following morning, July 14th, to identify the body lying on the roof of the AGR Building. Why? And who told Young to come back the night before?
The Congressional Task Force didn’t ask anything about this incident. Why? Didn’t those Members of Congress wonder why the shooter’s body lay on the AGR roof all night? Nope. Not one question. Unfortunately, the Congressional Task Force isn’t alone. None of the official investigations, Senate, Secret Service etc.., asked why the alleged shooter’s body was left on the roof of the AGR Building all night. It’s bizarre.
Can the public trust that the body of the alleged shooter was not tampered with? Can the public trust that the body of the alleged shooter that was identified at 6:30a.m. the following morning was the same body that was on the roof at 6:23p.m. the previous night?
Does this matter to Miranda Devine and Tucker Carlson who seem obsessed with calling Crooks the shooter when they have no physical evidence to prove it?
Anyone remotely familiar with the events of July 13th at Butler, PA, might also wonder what happened to the White Van with Arizona plates that was towed from the rally sight later in the evening of July 13th. Why is this important? Because it was a van that had explosives in it and the driver never returned to collect the van.
Is it possible that all these investigative bodies were unaware of the white van? Is it possible that there could have been two assassins at the rally on July 13th? Is it possible that the alleged shooter, Crooks, had two automobiles at the rally that day – the white van and the blue Sonata? If so, when did the alleged shooter get Arizona license plates? Hell, when would the alleged shooter, Crooks, have had time to get two cars to the rally?
In fact, what does a search of the Arizona license plate database reveal is the owner of that white van? The Pennsylvania State Police probably know that answer, but, like the FBI, it has refused to release its investigation of the shooting incident. Why isn’t Devine and Carlson screaming about that?
These are no small issues and yet the best in the nation’s media have yet to ask one question about these two events. Not one. How is that possible? But every news source is running Crooks’s Internet search history like it was the holy grail.
The alleged shooter was apparently obsessed with muscular women, he, like most conservatives, didn’t like “the squad,” and he could quote Chinese dictator Mao Zedong. Whoopty Doo! None of that information provides any physical evidence that proves Thomas Matthew Crooks shot anyone.
Down the road, the alleged shooter’s internet searches may provide some answers as to a motive for the attempted assassination. But Divine and Carlson would serve the American people well by focusing on proof of who exactly is the alleged shooter. It would be extremely helpful if these media behemoths started using their substantial clout to get the FBI to finally release its investigation with all the accompanying DNA, fingerprint and Ballistics reports. Crooks may be the shooter, but neither Divine, Carlson nor anyone else has any physical evidence to prove it. The FBI could be very helpful if only it would release its investigation.
