A viral claim that ICE “shot a Hispanic man” in Charlotte, North Carolina, has been debunked — and it turns out that what actually happened is that he was arrested inside a hospital ceiling while attempting to escape.
A video exploded across social media this weekend showing a heavy law enforcement presence in a Charlotte parking lot on Milton Road.
Paramedics are seen wheeling a covered stretcher toward an ambulance while tactical teams stand nearby.
The text on the TikTok video falsely claims: “Ice just shoot a hispanic man in Milton rd charlotte nc.”

The clip quickly racked up views as activist accounts and their useful idiots flooded timelines with outrage, claiming Trump’s ICE was gunning down innocent “Hispanics” in the streets. Some even twisted it further, falsely claiming the victim was a woman.
Wrong. All of it.
Despite that, the video was viewed over 50,000 times on X within an hour. It is unclear how many times it was viewed on TikTok before being shared across platforms.
Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security Tricia McLaughlin set the record straight Sunday afternoon with the facts.
In a post on X, McLaughlin wrote:
“No. This criminal illegal alien from Mexico had a panic attack and was taken to the hospital where he attempted to escape by climbing into the ceiling tiles from the hospital bathroom. He was unsuccessful and was apprehended inside the ceiling by law enforcement”

“He has a prior arrest for assault,” McLaughlin added.
No shots fired, no “execution” in the street, no innocent “Hispanic man” or woman gunned down. Just another criminal illegal alien from Mexico, already wanted for assault, pulling a dramatic (and failed) Hollywood-style escape attempt through the hospital ceiling after faking or having a “panic attack” once ICE had him in custody.
The stretcher seen in the video was used to transport him after the incident, not because he had been shot, but because of his own ridiculous actions.
