Putin Says Ukrainian Military Is in CRITICAL Condition, as Russian Forces Break Into Kupyansk and Advance Into Dnipropetrovsk Region (VIDEOS)

Russians advance all over the frontline.

In his press conference before leaving China after a four-day visit, Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the war in Ukraine, making sure to stress that Moscow is prepared to end the war by ‘force of arms’ if peace negotiations don’t make any progress.

He also talked about the state of the Ukrainian military, that he called a ‘critical condition’, to the point where they’re no longer able to enact ‘large-scale operations’.

According to Putin, the most combat-ready units are staffed at no more than 47-48% – at less than half-force.

He also noted that the Ukrainian reserves are constantly redeployed from one part of the front, to another.

This comes a few days after Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, made an update on the state of the conflict.

Since March 2025, the Russian forces have liberated over 3,500 square kilometers and 149 settlements, according to Gerasimov.

The creation of a buffer zone along Russia’s border in Ukraine’s Sumy and Kharkov regions is progressing successfully.

In the meantime, the Russian forces have liberated 99.7% of the Lugansk People’s Republic, 79% of Donetsk, 74% of Zaporozhye region, and 76% of Kherson region.

Reuters reported:

“’The combined group of troops continues a non-stop offensive along almost the entire front line’, General Valery Gerasimov told his deputies in an address published by the Defense Ministry. ‘At present, the strategic initiative lies entirely with Russian forces’.

[…] Russian forces this month have begun pressing into Ukraine’s southeastern Dnipropetrovsk region, open-source maps show. Gerasimov said seven villages in the region were now under Russian control.”

Russian forces are advancing across the entire 1,000 mile-long frontline.

In the northern Kharkov region, footage shows Russian forces raising the flag in the important bastion of Kupyansk.

The video shows Russian soldiers near the city administration building, Spartak Stadium, the city electrical substation, and the TV tower.

In a different Reuters report:

“Russia’s defense ministry said on Wednesday that its troops had captured ‘about half’ of the city of Kupiansk in Ukraine’s northeastern Kharkiv region, but Ukraine’s military denied any such advance.

Kupiansk has been the focus of months of increased Russian military activity and heavy fighting. Russian troops captured the city in the early weeks of their February 2022 invasion and Ukrainian forces took it back later that same year.”
