King Charles III has reportedly decided to make an attempt at reconciliation with his younger son Harry – and that’s causing friction with his heir to the throne, William.
Charles reportedly faces pushback over his upcoming ‘peace talks’ with estranged son Prince Harry, after the Duke of Sussex betrayed the family’s confidence in books, TV shows and interviews.
The New York Post reported:
“The monarch, 76, will reportedly meet with the Duke of Sussex, 40, next week — marking their first in-person reunion in a whopping 20 months.
And while the duo’s meeting is sure to signal that things are heading in the right direction, insiders last week suggested that Prince William had rejected his brother’s invitation to chat.”

William the Prince of Wales opposes any rapprochement by the Royal Family with his brother.
“’Ultimately, William is a loyal soldier’, a friend of the future king told the Daily Beast. ‘He respects his father’s rank, and he respects his father’s right to make his own decisions, and he won’t make a fuss if it happens. But he thinks a Harry meeting is a terrible, terrible idea’.”
William fears another betrayal by his brother Harry.
Palace insiders say William fears other betrayals after the duke’s memoir ‘Spare’, the Netflix series ‘Harry & Meghan’, and the interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Because of that, it is said that Prince William’s circle has warned the king against meeting with Harry.
