Sophie Cunningham responded to Caitlin Clark’s remarks about her swimsuit picture. Even off the court, Clark and Cunningham are stars.
Caitlin Clark is now a household name after her senior year at Iowa and rookie season in the WNBA. Clark was the most productive player in WNBA history last year when accounting for points and points off of assists.
But the other players in the league were jealous of her attention and from day one abused her on the court. Never in sports history had anyone see a league’s superstar get the treatment that Caitlin Clark did in the WNBA. This year Clark has been out more games than she has played. It’s the first time she ever missed a game since high school.
TOO LITTLE TOO LATE: Caitlin Clark Named WNBA Player of the Year After Suffering a Year of Shocking Abuse
Even FOX News is reporting on the WNBA’s abuse of Caitlin Clark. Below is a segment from FOX News on the subject.
While Clark has been out on due to injuries, her teammates have continued to play. But one day her teammates took a picture of themselves in swimsuits before a game.
Sophie Cunningham may be Caitlin Clark’s “enforcer” teammate, but isn’t holding back from clapping back at Clark herself for disagreements on how they spend their off-time.
Clark recently took aim at Cunningham and fellow Fever star Lexie Hull for a social media video showing Cunningham and Hull in swimsuits by a pool ahead of last week’s game against the Los Angeles Sparks. The caption read, “Convince us there’s a swimsuit brand that wants to partner with two Indiana Fever mermaids.”
Clark commented on the video, “Swimsuit brands plz comment ‘focus on basketball.”
Here is the social media post of Cunningham with Hull:

Cunningham responded to Clark’s post in an episode of her podcast on Wednesday, pointing out the fact that Clark has been sidelined with injury from the team for about a month.
“Dude, you are ruining me and Lexie’s deals. We’re the ones who have actually been playing, and we need a little break, and that’s when we go to the pool. And I think only like five companies reached out,” Cunningham said.
There are rumors that Clark will be back to play in a couple weeks. We’ll see how the league responds to her return.
