Trump highlighted Nippon Steel’s commitment to invest $14 billion and also declared the deal would result in 70,000 new jobs.

A key announcement was that every U.S. Steel worker would receive a $5,000 bonus as part of the deal. He also pledged no layoffs or outsourcing, with all U.S. Steel facilities remaining operational for at least a decade. Additionally, President Trump revealed plans to double steel tariffs to 50%, aiming to protect the American steel industry.
