(VIDEO) 11 Injured in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Shooting – Black Teen Shooter Dead as Investigation and Internal Review Underway

Eleven people were injured in a shooting in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on Saturday night involving a black teen gunman who was shot dead.

The incident is being referred to by the media, surprisingly not as a mass shooting, but as an “officer-involved shooting.”

The Gun Violence Archive and leftist media outlets typically identify mass shootings as incidents with “a minimum of four victims shot, either injured or killed, not including any shooter who may also have been killed or injured in the incident.” They seemingly do this to inflate the number of so-called mass shootings and further their narrative on gun violence. But something is different this time.

A video from social media shows police officers apprehending an individual who is believed to be the shooter. At the same time, a woman, who appears to have been shot, is seen screaming for the officers’ help. A ghetto onlooker is heard cursing at the police, shouting, “Ya’ll b*tches some pigs, boi!”

Officers say they “observed a disturbance involving multiple individuals” at approximately 11:50 pm when the shooting began.

A witness told ABC 15, “I remember hearing gunfire shots just start going off everywhere. I remember seeing a girl fall that had been injured; I remember seeing the guy who had been shot fall to the ground. I seen blood everywhere. It was just very traumatizing.”

The shooter, identified as Jerrius Davis, an 18-year-old black male, reportedly died from his injuries after police returned fire. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) and the Myrtle Beach Police Department are now conducting an investigation and internal review of the incident.

It is unclear whether the officer’s conduct is under scrutiny due to the race of the shooter.

Per ABC 15:

As of Sunday morning, 11 people are injured and one is dead after a shooting along the 900 block of North Ocean Boulevard on Saturday night, according to The Myrtle Beach Police Department.

Officers said that the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) will be conducting an independent investigation due to established protocol.

The Myrtle Beach Police Department will also carry out an internal review of the incident.

The department said: “We appreciate the public’s patience as both investigations proceed, and all leads are thoroughly examined.”

Former Horry County School Board candidate David Warner slammed Myrtle Beach Mayor Brenda Bethine’s “Woke anti police policies,” crediting her for the local violence.

Enough of the woke city policies by Mayor Bethune! Under her leadership we have gained DEI offices, Woke anti police policies, pride rally’s, and BLM protests. Time for he to go! Let’s get back to policing and make it clear this type of behavior isn’t allowed here!

Thank God…
