President Trump was spotted on the White House North Lawn this morning, scouting out a location for a new flag pole to hang the American flag 100 feet high.
Surprisingly, there is not an American flag on either side of the White House. But that’s about to change.
“They’ve needed flag poles for 200 years,” President Trump said.
President Trump was spotted this morning on the White House’s north grounds near Pebble Beach, where the media sets up for daily reports.
“A beautiful flag pole for the American Flag. We never had a flag pole. One here, one on the other side too,” he told reporters.

The President then held a press gaggle and announced his intention to install “beautiful, almost 100-foot tall American flag[s]” on the north and south lawns.

Trump: We’re putting up a beautiful, almost 100 foot tall American flag on this side and another one on the other side; two flags top of the line, and they’ve needed flag poles for 200 years.
It was something I’ve often said, you know, they don’t have the flag pole, per se. So we’re putting one right where you saw us, and we’re putting another one on the other side, on top of the mounds. It’s going to be two beautiful flags.
This is a developing story.
