Romania’s Simion widens his lead in the polls for the May vote.
It’s been said that ‘All the forces in the world are not so powerful as an idea whose time has come.’
Be as it may, the Globalist establishment in Romania may be facing an overwhelming idea: first, they cancelled the first round of elections over a fake TikTok ‘Russian disinformation campaign’, and after that they further damaged their democracy by banning the absolute favorite Georgescu from running in the May redo of the elections.
After all that meddling in the elections, one would expect that the establishment forces would now finally be in control of the situation, right? WRONG.
The head of Romania’s AUR party, George Simion, who is banned from entering Ukraine, is comfortably leading in a new poll ahead of Romania’s presidential election with 35% support.

Reuters reported:
“Hard-right opposition leader George Simion led an opinion poll published on Monday, five weeks before the first round of a repeat presidential election that could determine whether Romania remains on its pro-Western course.”
Election favorite was targeted, detained (picture), prosecuted and banned from the May vote.
Romania will re-start the two-round election process in May after the Constitutional Court voided the initial ballot in a highly politicized decision.
After the Georgescu ban, patriotic forces joined in support of Simion, leader of Romania’s second-largest party, AUR.
“An opinion poll conducted by polling institute Verifield and commissioned by Nicusor Dan, one of the candidates, showed Simion was on course to secure 35% of votes in the first round, slightly higher than in earlier polls.
It showed Victor Ponta, a former leftist prime minister whose politics have since become more ultranationalist, would win 21.1% of votes and that Bucharest mayor Dan, running as an independent, would get 20.8%.”
The right thing: Georgescu and Simion.
The support for Simion’s AUR party also surged to over 31%.
The AUR party in Romania has reached a record-high 31.7% in the latest opinion poll, smashing its previous record by 7 percentage points.
They are now 10.5 percentage points ahead of PSD.
