A fire broke out at Disney World’s Epcot theme park in Florida on Saturday.
According to a Walt Disney World spokesperson, the fire was reportedly caused by a walk-in cooler backstage at the France Pavilion.

Thick black smoke was visible across the park and prompted the evacuation of the France Pavillion.
The Reedy Creek Fire Department, which serves Walt Disney World, responded to the blaze and quickly extinguished it.

There was a fire in a walk-in cooler backstage in the France pavilion at Epcot tonight. Disney tells us the fire was quickly extinguished and there were no injuries. No injuries or significant structural damage were reported, but the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The pavilion has since reopened, according to reports on social media.
This marks the second fire-related evacuation at EPCOT in recent years, after a 2024 incident at The Land Pavilion where a fire alarm triggered the evacuation of nearby attractions.
