Brothers and Roommate of Laken Riley’s Killer Ordered to Be Deported

Laken Riley, murdered in February by possible illegal immigrant Biden put back on the streets.

The brothers and a former roommate of Laken Riley’s killer, Jose Ibarra, are set to be deported from the United States.

The decision was announced on March 19, 2025, following their guilty pleas to charges related to possessing fraudulent green cards.

Ibarra, a 26-year-old Venezuelan illegal alien, was convicted in November 2024 of murdering Riley while she jogged near the University of Georgia campus earlier in the year. He was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole.

The case drew global attention and resulted in the passage of the Laken Riley Act in January 2025, which expanded deportation powers for illegal aliens who have been accused of crimes.

Ibarra’s brothers, Diego Ibarra and Argenis Ibarra, along with their former roommate, Luis Flores-Bello, were found to be in the country illegally during the investigation into Riley’s murder.

On March 19, 2025, a Georgia judge sentenced Diego Ibarra to four years in federal prison. After his release, he is ordered to be turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for deportation to Mexico.

Argenis Ibarra and Flores-Bello, both charged with one count of possessing a fraudulent document, were sentenced to time served. However, they will be deported immediately, with ICE taking custody of them after the sentencing hearing.

In February, the Laken Riley Act was used to deport an illegal alien from Guatemala who caused a deadly crash in Indiana last year.

The alien, Domingo Juan Juan, was not charged with homicide or murder for the killing because he was sober and was not speeding.

On March 26, 2024, Juan Juan lost control of his vehicle, which he was driving without a license. He crossed the center line and got into a head-on collision, killing 27-year-old Brad Castner.

Juan Juan had two previous misdemeanor charges of driving without a license and has previously been deported.
