Judge Tanya Chutkan
A federal judge on Tuesday evening temporarily blocked EPA Chief Lee Zeldin from clawing back $20 billion from the Biden EPA’s slush fund.
Judge Tanya Chutkan, an Obama appointee, ruled that Lee Zeldin cannot claw back the money currently being sheltered at Citibank for 8 different ‘green’ nonprofits.
The $20 billion sitting at Citibank will not be restored to the 8 nonprofits yet.
Judge Chutkan’s TRO temporarily stopped Lee Zeldin from reclaiming the funds.
“When the court asked EPA to proffer evidence justifying its decision given the terms of the agreement, its only response was to refer to the termination letter, which gave no legal justification for the termination,” the judge wrote.
EPA Chief Lee Zeldin last Tuesday said he notified the eight recipients of the $20 billion from the Biden EPA’s slush fund that their grants have been terminated.
“It is my commitment to President Trump, Congress, and you, that EPA will be an exceptional steward of your tax dollars. I’ll have it no other way!” Lee Zeldin said.
Lee Zeldin previously clawed back the $20 billion in grants under the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF) and Citibank agreed to freezing the funds earmarked for the eight nonprofits.
According to AP, the money was awarded to “Coalition for Green Capital, Climate United Fund, Power Forward Communities, Opportunity Finance Network, Inclusiv and the Justice Climate Fund.”
Last week Zeldin said he notified the nonprofits that their grants have been terminated.
Update: @EPA just notified 8 recipients of $20 BILLION in Biden EPA “gold bars” that their grants have been TERMINATED!

Last month Lee Zeldin provided an update to the money wasted on Biden’s watch in response to undercover video posted by Project Veritas in December.
As previously reported, an EPA advisor was exposed in a Project Veritas undercover video admitting that the agency rushed to allocate billions of taxpayer dollars to climate change initiatives just before President Donald Trump’s inauguration.
Zeldin said the $20 billion was “awarded to just 8 entities that were then responsible for doling out your money to NGOs and others at their discretion with far less transparency. Just under $7 billion was sent to one entity called the Climate United Fund.”
