President Trump is hosting the fourth foreign leader to visit the White House since the President was sworn in less than a month ago and holding a press conference.
On Thursday afternoon, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the White House to meet with the President, where they likely discussed the President’s new reciprocal tariffs, trade between the U.S. and India, and Indo-Pacific military alliances.
Per Fox, Modi said he hopes to “deepen our partnership” in technology, trade, defense, and energy.
As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier, President Trump signed a memorandum on sweeping reciprocal tariffs on foreign imports, saying, “Whatever countries charge the United States of America, we will charge them. No more, no less.”
He added, “In almost all cases, they’re charging us vastly more than we charge them, but those days are over.”
