Liberals and Globalists Panic as Surging Right-Wingers Vie for Control of the European Union

After the ‘super-election-year’ of 2024, the European right-wingers have become a force to be reckoned with, having attained power in many countries like Italy, Hungary, the Netherlands, Belgium, Georgia; about to enter coalition in Austria; coming up HOT to election day in Romania and Germany as a real force; with both the French and British rightwing forces also on the rise.

Not only that, but we see populists and anti-globalists that are perhaps more left leaning, like in Slovakia and Serbia.

And let’s not forget that, while Russia is still the official bogeyman of the liberal Brussels establishment, it’s also an anti-Globalist, anti-woke, pro-traditional values civilization.

So, while in the surface the Macrons, and von der Leyens and the Scholzes of this world are still bossing about, Europe is primed for a conservative revolution that will steer it away from crippling, suicidal Globalist policies and into a common-sense approach that is bound to usher in a grand time of progress and abundance.

Now you just add to that the real miraculous event of 2024, in the figure of gigantic common sense conservative leader, US President Donald J. Trump – and you start to see just how powerful this movement can be.

As Bart De Wever becomes the new Belgium Prime Minister, an important new chapter commences in the steady climb of the Right to power in Europe.

Peter Franklin wrote an interesting piece in UnHerd:

“Thus the EU has another populist prime minister (De Wever) — in this case, one belonging to the same EU-wide alliance of parties as Italy’s Giorgia Meloni. Other shades of national populist also rule in the neighboring Netherlands, as well as Hungary and Slovakia.

In Austria, an establishment attempt to exclude the populist FPÖ, which won the 2024 general election, collapsed last month. FPÖ leader Herbert Kickl is likely to become Austrian chancellor later this year, putting a sixth EU country under a radical Right-wing leader and granting the populists another seat on the European Council.

In Romania, a bitter legal battle is raging over the participation of Călin Georgescu in the county’s presidential election. The attempt to disqualify him appears to have backfired, leading to a surge of voter support. Meanwhile, Czechia is due parliamentary elections this year with Andrej Babiš — whose party is now allied with Viktor Orbán — poised to win. In Germany, the firewall against the AfD is still holding despite a few cracks. In France, however, Marine Le Pen has what is essentially a 50:50 chance of becoming president in 2027 — or sooner, if Emmanuel Macron resigns.”

Herbert Kickl will put ‘remigration’ on the move.

Franklin notes that the new Belgium PM is a separatist and that many rightwing leaders are Euroskeptics.

“A further parallel is the irony of populist leaders taking over the power structures they once wanted to quit or dismantle: the Belgian state in the case of Bart De Wever, the EU in other cases. If that seems inconsistent, it’s nothing compared to the spectacle of establishment parties cooperating with politicians they once condemned as extreme — or even agreeing to serve under them.”

This alliance will Make Europe Great Again.

Conservative champion, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is also talking about these new days in Europe.

Viktor Orbán, today, on X.

“Yesterday we held the first EU-summit in Brussels since President Trump was inaugurated. It was a strange gathering. Everyone in Brussels can see the Trump tornado coming, but most still think they can get away from it. They won’t.

In 14 days, Donald Trump has already turned the world upside down with a few measures. The gender madness in America is over, the financing of globalist Soros organizations is over, illegal migration is over, and support for the Russian-Ukrainian war is also over. In other words, everything that the bureaucrats in Brussels have tried to force down our throats in recent years is over.

But there is something else here. We can also say goodbye to the rules of world trade as we know them. President Trump will stand up for American interests, even against Europe. The European Union faces difficult months ahead and the bureaucrats in Brussels are going to have a tough time.

We need to make an agreement, a deal, to preserve our economic relations with the United States. And a really good deal can be made by those who not only know but also respect each other.

We always knew that President Trump would return, so we were prepared. We are constantly negotiating and we will make a good deal with the new administration of the United States.

And what about the bureaucrats in Brussels? You’ve made your bed, now lie in it!”
