President Donald Trump’s approval ratings have reached historic highs at the onset of his second term, a phenomenon that has left some far-left personalities, including CNN’s Kate Bolduan, visibly struggling to come to terms with the reality of Trump’s enduring popularity.

As Trump defies expectations and historical trends, Bolduan’s skepticism seems to embody what many conservatives see as a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS).

During a recent segment on CNN, data analyst Harry Enten presented a surprising statistical revelation that President Trump is the first president to have a higher net approval rating in the first month of his second term than at any point during his entire first term.

Before Enten could finish, Bolduan interrupted, her tone laced with disbelief: “I have a really hard time believing this.”

Daily Mail reported:

Senior Political Data Reporter Harry Enten called the occurrence proof Americans were already ‘lik[ing] what they’re seeing’, even after the president’s plentiful pardons.

The polling from Reuters/Ipsos showed Trump ending the week with what’s undoubtedly his highest rating ever – a net favorability of six points.

Eight years ago, the conservative had a rating of negative three points, leading Enten to marvel at the shift.

‘That’s up nine points,’ he said – before noting how polling also showed 47 percent of Americans approving of Trump, compared to just 41 percent who didn’t.

‘To borrow a Donald Trump phrase, this is big league!’ he joked – seemingly with a hint of seriousness given the rise occurred within a matter of days.

‘This is a sign that the American people – at least initially – like what they’re seeing,’ he reasoned. ‘More Americans approve of Donald Trump’s job than disapprove.’

You can see the disbelief on Bolduan’s face as she struggles to comprehend the reality of Trump being more popular than ever, despite all the propaganda she and the fake news media have been feeding to the American public.

Harry Enten:
This is a very different Donald Trump. He’s leading a very different administration in the way he’s attacking things, and the American public is much more in line with him than they were at any point during his entire first term.

Kate Bolduan:
I would say, correction—this is not a very different Donald Trump. This is a very different Donald Trump as he is being viewed by voters in this moment.

Harry Enten:
In the way he’s going about things with Susan Wiles leading, I think he is approaching things in a much less disorganized fashion—much more organized.

Kate Bolduan:
Take me back in history.

Harry Enten:
Take you back in history? It was so interesting to me that Donald Trump’s first net approval rating of his second term is higher than his entire first term. I was curious—has that ever happened? Has a second-term net approval rating in the first month ever been higher than any net approval rating during the entire first term? Donald Trump is the only—

Kate Bolduan:
I have a really hard time believing this.

Harry Enten:
This is 100% true. I went back—I love spreadsheets. Donald Trump is the first person ever whose net approval rating in the first month of his second term is higher than any rating he had during his entire first term, Kate Bolduan. This is true. I don’t make stuff up. The numbers are the numbers.

Kate Bolduan:
I believe you in nothing except when you have it on the wall—then I believe everything is the same.

The polls speak louder than the skeptics. A survey conducted by RMG Research/Napolitan Institute from January 20 to 23, 2025, shows an overwhelming approval rating of 57% against a disapproval rating of 39%.

Other polls, including those by Echelon Insights and Quantus Insights, corroborate this trend, with figures consistently showing Trump well above the 50% mark.

These numbers not only cement his status as a leader in tune with the aspirations of the American people but also underscore the disconnect between the mainstream media’s narrative and the on-ground reality.
