President Trump addresses supporters on January 6, 2021
The U.S. House and Senate will convene this afternoon for the January 6 certification of Trump’s historic victory in the 2024 Presidential Election.

Kamala Harris released a video statement this morning, pledging to uphold her duty to certify the election, which she lost. Ironically, she preached about Democracy and making sure “that in America, our government always remains of the people, by the people and for the people” after she participated in the Democratic election coup.
President Trump posted a statement on Truth Social this morning in all capital letters, calling today’s ceremony “A BIG MOMENT IN HISTORY.”
The incoming President also posted a photo from four years ago, when hundreds of thousands of his supporters gathered to hear him speak and marched to the Capitol to protest the stolen 2020 election on January 6, 2021.
Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) reposted Trump’s statement and assured the Country that the historic election victory will be certified:
On November 5th, YOU sent a clear message to world.
Today at 1:00 PM, members of the House and Senate will convene for a Joint Session of Congress.
VP Harris will announce the results of the election in each state.

Real America’s Voice correspondent Brian Glenn provided an update this morning from Washington DC, warning that some Republicans appear to have left town and may not be present due to the severe snowstorm that hit the area. “If anything slows down the certification of the 2024 election, it’s the fact that Republicans didn’t get their butt back to town to be able to sit in the Capitol behind me and certify,” he said.

Law enforcement agencies have bolstered security measures across Washington, D.C., in anticipation of Monday’s certification process on Capitol Hill. This includes several road closures surrounding the Capitol, as well as a security perimeter around the Capitol.
