Congressman John Breechen from Oklahoma has penned a poignant letter to President Trump respectfully requesting the release of his “violent” J6 constituent from the DC Gulag.
Breechen’s constituent is Staff Sergeant Ben Burlew, a disabled and decorated American Army war hero who lived on the Wyandotte Indian reservation in Oklahoma.
Burlew was taken from the reservation and his family earlier this year as a political prisoner of the now-fallen Biden Regime. He is awaiting sentencing in prison after he was forced to take a plea under physical and mental duress.

War hero Ben Burlew is currently a political prisoner of the fallen Biden Regime. He wants to return to the Indian reservation he lives on with his family.
As we have reported for four years, thousands of Biden’s prisoners await pardons or commutations.
They have literally been tortured and held in captivity like animals by the Department of Injustice as pawns of the Deep State’s failed plot to take down President Trump.
God didn’t write the end of story the way the Biden Regime wanted. President Trump is back after the greatest redemptive arc in political history. Now, the J6 prisoners are waiting for their own redemption, and freedom, once President Trump resumes office.
That includes so-called “violent” protesters that the treacherous likes of Mike Pence has “prayed” don’t get pardons. Burlew, for example, pled to the “violent” charge of “impeding a police officer” – which means he was in a cop’s way or “disrupted” his way.
Burlew’s wife Brandy said he was seen brushing against a police officer after something in the crowd caused him to fall forward. This is considered a “violent charge”.
Many other men and women have these “violent charges” and were over prosecuted and over sentenced by Biden’s weaponized DOJ. They received treatment and penalties far exceeding the norm for their ‘crimes.’
According to Marjorie Taylor Greene- “Every single J6er who has been targeted by the weaponized Biden/Harris regime must be pardoned! BLM/Antifa rioters who caused over $1 billion in damage across the country were either bailed out by Kamala Harris and Ilhan Omar or never put behind bars in the first place.” We cannot have a two-tiered justice system.

Mr. President,
I write today respectfully requesting a full and unconditional presidential pardon for Staff Sergeant Benjamen Burlew of Oklahoma. Staff Sergeant Burlew is an American patriot who peacefully protested outside the Capitol on January 6th, 2021. The Department of Justice (DOJ) put out a warrant for his arrest, for which he voluntarily turned himself in. Since surrendering himself in May 2024, Staff Sergeant Burlew has been forced into allegedly inhumane conditions inside the D.C. Jail. It is imperative that we secure his release and bring him back to Oklahoma, where he belongs.
Staff Sergeant Benjamen Burlew is a 100% disabled Army veteran who performed 7 tours in Iraq and Afghanistan between 2001 and 2009. During these tours, he saw over 500 documented firefights and was involved in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion. In 2007, he fell off a mountain in Afghanistan, suffering serious injuries; however, Staff Sergeant Burlew was not discharged and continued fighting, demonstrating his commitment to the United States.

Staff Sergeant Burlew exemplifies American patriotism; he is a respected pillar of his community and a devoted family man to his wife and five children. Yet, in a betrayal of his dedication to country and community, the DOJ accused him of assaulting a police officer and a member of the press using unsubstantiated evidence. Relying on an unclear video captured on January 6th, the DOJ claimed that Staff Sergeant Burlew shoved a reporter off a ledge and later lunged at a police officer. However, DOJ prosecutors could not prove that Staff Sergeant Burlew was the man seen in the video and dropped the charges.
Nevertheless, the DOJ is attempting to use the man seen in the video as evidence that Staff Sergeant Burlew assaulted two individuals. Aware that they would lose the case at trial, the DOJ is aggressively pursuing a plea deal, betting on the awful conditions at the D.C. Jail to break the resolve of Staff Sergeant Burlew. Despite the DOJ’s pressure tactics, Staff Sergeant Burlew maintains his innocence.
The D.C.Jail and U.S. Marshals Service claim that the inhumane conditions reported in the Jail in 2021 have been resolved. However, firsthand accounts from prisoners within the facility portray a very different reality. In the last year, Staff Sergeant Burlew and other prisoners have reported the following conditions inside the Jail:
Temperatures upwards of 90 degrees with no A/C,
1-2 inches of standing water in cells,
Standing human excrement,
Punitive water shutoffs, including prisoners going up to 72 hours without access to water,
A rampant rat and cockroach infestation,
Denial of laundry services,
Inedible, improperly stored food,
Prisoners openly taking illicit drugs,
Human feces in showers,
Inmates having visible injuries that were not treated,
Guards antagonizing detainees,
Refusal of bedding changes,
Denial of medical services like hearing aids, and
Prisoners who speak to members of Congress being punitively transferred around the jail or to other locations entirely.
If true, these accusations of mistreatment represent an egregious violation of human rights. No human should be treated like this, let alone a long-time veteran and recipient of numerous medals, including the Bronze Star, like Staff Sergeant Burlew. For these reasons, I respectfully request that you grant a full and unconditional presidential pardon to Staff Sergeant Burlew when you assume office on January 20th, 2025.
Further, I respectfully request that you remove REDACTED and their positions in the U.S. Marshals Service as you reorganize the Executive Branch, These individuals played a key role in stonewalling the investigations led by myself and REDACTED and other members of Congress, including Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, into the alleged conditions at the D.C. Jail.
In September 2024 my colleagues and I submitted a formal letter to the U.S. Marshals Service requesting an investigation of the D.C. Jail. As the designated liaisons for the agency, and received a copy of that letter. However, we did not receive a response, and these liaisons ceased all subsequent communications with us. Given these circumstances, I respectfully request their removal.
Finally, I respectfully request a formal investigation of the D.C. Jail’s alleged conditions to shed light on the treatment of January 6th political prisoners by President Biden’s DOJ.
Mr. President, I congratulate you on your landslide victory and look forward to working with you to Make America Great Again, starting with getting Staff Sergeant Benjamen Burlew home to his wife and children. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
